Cork were very happy to host a seminar with Levi Sensei, a student of our National Coach Yanai Sensei.
The weekend was a great success with over 30 people over the three days. Friday night was a short session as there were flight delays but we were shown the importance of ai-men and keeping center. Saturday and Sunday saw a varied and fully packed few days of teaching and corrections. A lot of time was spent correcting kirikaeshi, then we moved forward to correct cutting and correct use of seme, footwork and control of the centre and finally coming to the very simple yet difficult seme men waza.
The use of seme was a key point over this weekend, both to startle your opponent and overwhelm them to forcing them to strike a target you want them to strike.
It was an eye opening seminar and we thank you for it.
Special thanks again goes to Martin and Kathryn for showing support from Dublin Kendo Kobukai.
Looking forward to the next session.
