Taisho is a Japanese term for Captain. This weekend we got a visit from an old member of Cork Kendo Club and UCC kendo Club, Jason Byrne – Ex Irish Captain (or late late taisho). We had a great Keiko (practice) with ya this morning. Good to see you can still take a beating like a man!

To facilitate the new beginners training and the class that comes in after please see the new timetable and training times. Basically Beginner class starts at 09.45, intermediate class starts straight after at 10.30 (so please be in the back hall fully changed and warmed up for this class at 10.30). Also wed night training starts from 20.00 (or when ever the dancers get out).

After a lot of hard work by the members of Cork Budokai (meeting, planning, sticking up posters, sorting a warm dojo, and instructing) we have finnaly started our very first course. Welcome to the new people, we hope you enjoy kendo as much as we do!! and look forward to training with ye.
